Our Ultra Warmest Week Warmathon!

During the closing days of the Warmest Week, the Triple Challenge Team provided another final stunt: to raise money for the Warmest Week, they ran the Warmest Inclusive Ultra Marathon from December 22 to December 23! Over a 160km course, co-founder Wannes Wylin ran from Ghent to Hasselt together with 3 team members Petra, Jan & Filip! They called on everyone to (virtually) run with them and sponsor our km’s for the Warmest Week.

A symbolic, flaming relay race

With this hottest ultra marathon, we had 1 goal: to spread the Ghent inclusive flame in Hasselt like wildfire. We left in Ghent where we lit our symbolic inclusive flame. We passed through the cities of Dendermonde, Mechelen and Leuven. We walked up to Hasselt’s city park to pass our flame to the radio presenters on the Warmest Week stage.

Thank you for your massive support. We were able to donate €3,666 to Warmest Week. The number of the Triple Beast! 🤘 But it was about more than just the contribution. We received an incredibly warm welcome in every community and runners everywhere joined in. Even in the dead of night, the mayor of Kampenhout ran 15 km with us. And in Herk de Stad we were so warmly received that we were allowed to walk the last kilometers on a cloud. Merci to everyone.
