Flame Power Of Invisible Heroes

The Warmest Week 2025

With our Warmest Ultra Marathon, we raised a lot of pennies for DWW. As 1 of 220 charities, we got to realize our project. We are organizing four free workshops on different topics around invisible diseases.

We bring people together through movement, testimonials and a professional but interactive panel discussion. The goal: break stigma, create recognition and build an inclusive community where everyone is seen.

Who are these workshops for?

Everyone is welcome but especially for:

  • people with an invisible illness or vulnerability
  • allies: family, friends, colleagues, caregivers….
  • anyone who wants to understand and learn more

Each session can accommodate 20-30 participants, a warm mix of people who are invisibly ill themselves and people who want to support them.

Why this project?

Invisible diseases are often not recognized or understood. People often clash:

  • misunderstandings and disbelief
  • stigma and self-stigma
  • systems that do not move with you
  • isolation and misunderstanding

With “Flame Power Of Invisible Heroes,” we want to:

  • increase awareness
  • breaking stigmas
  • sharing experience knowledge
  • building coat racks
  • strengthening connection and understanding

What can you expect from a workshop?

Each workshop combines three regular elements each time:

  1. a low-threshold exercise activity
    • Lowering tension and barriers, creating connection
  2. an in-depth, interactive panel discussion
    • With experts by experience, professionals and someone from the community
    • space for stories, insights, reflection and dialogue
  3. a healthy lunch afterwards
    • included, discussion with all participants

Participation is completely free, thanks to the support of The Warmest Week.
