On Thursday, November 6, we welcome you to our Triple Impact Evening.
This is the ideal opportunity to be inspired by the topic “Sport as a Solution”. Once again we will manage to captivate you with our enthusiastic speakers, Triple Impact guaranteed! In addition, we will look back on the past Triple Challenge year and you will find out what goals and dreams we still have in store.
To close, we will present our annual Triple Challenge Awards and there will be room for socializing and networking.
The awards feature three categories. Further down this page, the candidates are explained and there is an opportunity to cast your vote.

Gitte Haenen: Ex-paralympian and inclusive sports coach of Triple Challenge
“The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you can’t do.”
Giving up is not in Gitte Haenen’s dictionary. As an elite athlete, she always showed tremendous
Her story is one of trial and error, of focusing on possibilities rather than limitations – with sports as a common thread and foothold.

Brecht Buysschaert: Founder of Springbok Coaching
Brecht is founder and driving force behind Springbok Coaching, where he guides organizations with inspiring and people-oriented leadership to sustainable Whealthy Workplaces – workplaces where people and performance flourish. From his broad experience as a healthy lifestyle coach, consultant and keynote speaker, he links an integral vision on health (body/mind/soul) to decisive entrepreneurship. With Springbok he has already realized more than 150 (inter)national projects on well-being in the workplace, always with the characteristic #humantouch as common thread.
His mission: to make a firm and positive difference in how companies deal with energy, resilience and workplace happiness.

Ellen Boudry: Sports psychologist and triathlete
With training in sports psychology, expertise in clinical practice and her own experience within the sport of triathlon, Ellen is excellently positioned to speak on the importance of mental well-being for sports and sports for mental well-being. As a sports psychologist, Ellen enjoys helping athletes get back on track mentally. Together she explores how you can find joy in sports again and take back control of your sports career and your life.
Mental well-being, in addition to physical well-being, is an essential aspect within sports. The mental component has rightly received increasing attention in the sports world and in the media in recent years. Anyone who plays sports, at a high or recreational level, has probably already experienced how thoughts and emotions can impact sports performance.

At the end of the evening, we like to put some special Triple Challenge Heroes in the spotlight. We do this for three categories: the best inclusive event, the best challenge and the best team challenge. For each category, three candidates will be presented for the public to vote on.
Voting is open until Sunday, Nov. 2, via the link under the description of the candidates.

Free The Wheelers
Bashir’s Run is an example event of inclusion. Sportaround, “sports opportunities for all,” involves Triple Challenge to make the event as inclusive as possible. Elite wheelers and their companions get a separate start. Wheelchair users, baby carriages, blind and visually impaired runners can also participate inclusively in the recreational running numbers.
Long Course Weekend Newport
This is a three-day sports festival where you can “mix and match” swimming, cycling and running. At Long Course Weekend, they believe that everyone is a champion and can participate. They chose Triple Challenge as their charity and raised money for a custom racing baby carriage for the Triple Challenge Triathlon Team.
Dwars Door Lievegem
When you say “Dwars Door Lievegem” you automatically envision the baby carriages of Triple Challenge, it’s impossible to imagine this heartwarming inclusive walking and running event without them. Triple Challenge was once again chosen by them as charity.
Jeroen Belien
Jeroen rolled out of the 2024 Warmest Ultra Marathon completely unaided in his wheelchair. This was good for an incredibly punishing 173 km of Flame power in 24h. Thanks in part to his achievement, we were able to deliver a nice check to Warmest Week.
Naomi Blomme and Anna Van Rompaey
Two Belgian tandem bike champions. Naomi has a visual impairment, as a stoker she rides the tandem together with pilot Anna. The duo trains together and competed in the Belgian Championships, they pedaled flat out to a handsome victory!
Brecht Couché and Luca Baetens
They completed the Bruges Marathon. As buddyloper, Brecht genius Luca pushed the entire marathon in a Triple Challenge baby carriage. For both buddyloper and enjoyer this is a firm effort and great achievement.

Independent Living
This close-knit team organized an inclusive team building event for their staff and volunteers with Triple Challenge. Eight teams, each represented by a wheelchair user, participated in our Company 5 Camp. Teamwork, perseverance, enthusiasm and smiling faces were the picture of the day. This was the most inclusive, heartwarming Company 5 Camp to date.
Kinumai
“Kinumai” literally means “I move, I set in motion.” This amazing team participated in the 20 km of Brussels. They even committed about 100 runners to also participate and raised €10,000 to purchase 2 baby carriages for the start-up of Triple Challenge Brussels. Talk about getting things moving!
Threon
With their relay team they raced our Warmest Ultra Marathon and completed their team challenge of 173 km in 24 hours. In addition, they collected additional sponsorship and went all out for our Company 5 Camp experience. A punishing team that doesn’t shy away from a challenge and makes their staff very passionate about inclusion.
